Hi guys,

 

We are planning to go to Melaka tomorrow morning and come back on Saturday evening. We are planning to go by bus from JB to Melaka, but would like to go till Kranji on our bike. Can I park at the Car park near Kranji MRT overnight? So should I tear and fill up 3 coupons for the 2 days and 1 night? Any other suggestions? Is there any free parking nearby? We are going to board the bus from Larkin? How safe is it to park in Larkin?

 

EDIT:

Just read from the SBF parking guide that parking at the Singapore Turf club parking is free which is near to Kranji MRT, only question is will they allow overnight parking?

Found out that this is no motorcycle parking into the car park.

 

There is some motorcycle lots outside the building but for despatch riders only, and it will be chianed up after office hours.

Bumping up this old post of me... Since then I have been able to make a nice colour coding. Green for FOC, Red for OOB, and Blue for PAY. It is a great tool that i use every week, but it needs the help of more than just me to get it updated.

 

Great if you can help to update the map, I think it has value only if it is accurate and updated... I have a blurb here that describes how to update, it takes only a few seconds... Info on the Map is from a few weeks ago.

Hi guys -

 

So I decided to spend a bit of time on this, and the result is: We now have an interactive MAP of the parkings for motorbikes for Singapore !! Viewable from both a laptop and a smartphone when on the go.

A few things to note :

 

The (very) good:

1- This gives geolocalised info on where are the closest parking lots

2- Super interactive, with zoom features, detailed info on the bubbles, Filter on FOC/OOB/PAY etc...

3- Exhaustive list based on knowledge/feedback from this forum

4- Accessible from laptop and from smartphone

5- Super easy to maintain

 

 

 

The not so good:

1- This is based on the info that was outlined on this page a couple of days ago (needs to be updated with latest info)

2- I did not manage to have 3 different colours for now, but this is an improvement that will need to happen. FOC/OOB/PAY still noted for each bubble. But filter works as a plan B. [EDIT: THIS IS SORTED NOW ;-) ]

3- Some landmarks were not recognised automatically by Google, so have been placed at 1.352083, 103.819836 by default. They would need to be corrected

 

 

This can be easily maintained with just one person / a couple of people, or alternatively by anyone (but then there is a risk of crashing the data if misuse). Anyone interested to take this tiny task on ? It is just about updating a couple of cells in a spreadsheet. So no big deal. Otherwise I can post the instructions for everyone to update directly.
