hey...

used to ride rs125 replica

pick up very fast

one of the best for 2b

but

top speed wise, unless u know ur bikes n how to tune, rs125 stock isnt gonna hav high top speed

plus i heard now theres a power cut for the newer models which limits ur top speed to the early 100kph range

from what ive seen n heard, sp n kr are still the fastest ard if properly tuned.

but please consider again, it seems u have a car license, and losing it is really gonna hurt

some may think its not easy to get revoked riding a 2b bike in sg, but thats the wrong thinking

i was revoked for speeding on a seemingly deserted road in the east.

speed limit was 50

my bike was goin 107.

i didnt think it was that fast(i dont have the habit of looking at my speedo), maybe due to the fact that i ride even faster on expressways.

and the road was a short one, not like bukit timah where its a long road. (no idea how i could have reached that 107kph speed)

in short, what im tryin to say is a fast bike may not be ideal in sg, no matter how appealing it may be.

unless u happen to go track alot, try to look for a bike that suits your financial limits and also one that looks good on you.

ride safe, n always check mirror for tp

how fast is fast?

fast in term of what? pick up, top speed or losing license?

i like what you replied..

LTA should get hold of the statistics of 2B bikers losing their license due to having a "fast" bike and have a database of what are the "fast" 2B bikes in SG..

like that, will answer to the qns of what is the fastest bike in 2B, 2A etc when newbies got their license..

and maybe even show how fast they lose their licenses on what bike..

no punt intended.. :p

hi all..i been riding 2b for 14 years.so my little opinion is that if you want fast.. all 2b can be fast.. depending on what you modified. but of course if you do not want to mod it then you are only left with 3 main.. used to ride all this so please..its just my own humber opinion,

TZM : a very powerfull high rev bike which i respect very much but due to extremely high rev trashing by rider,it seems impossibe to find a tip top condition.

SP : mostly chinese beng riding, famous for single swingarm(useless), have the best mod exhaust pitch sound, having a strong pick up weak high rev and nice paint work, but i feel that its not so user friendly. you feel very stiff compared to other bike.

Krr; a jb looking bike but believe me, its very user friendly, having a super smooth pick up to high rev. it may not be the fastest around but 170 on any straight is attained very easily.

So end of the day,my point is that its impossibe to have a FASTEST BIKE MODEL, it all depend on how u maintain it and what kind of great stuff you are willing to spend on it.and hope you get your bike from a good shop. finally this is purely my own exp, CHEERS EVERYONE.

(Sorry i did not mention rs as you do not belong to the fast group):cheeky:

don't forget the Cagiva Mito 125. this bike is BIG and feels big. but it accelerates like crazy and goes fast. i think it looks super sexy too...of course i'm biased :)

skateboard. fast also. top speed and acceleration matches the bike or car u hold on to and how long you can keep holding on.

rs n mito... italian stallions are huge and were manufactured for track use originally.

nt sure bout the mito,

but if compare stock, rs pick up is definitely better then any of the 150cc sports bike ard.

but top speed quite bad for sports bike... haha

i remember once at a traffic lite, side by side with various kips and rxz...

i was the first to go.... but 10 seconds later i was the only one left behind... WTHell!!!

I was wondering.. why did you mention the specific race and group for this bike only? what about the rest?

Anyway. I rode before aprilia 06. pretty stable and fast but i guess the faster you go the faster the wear and tear sets in?

:(

anyway.. just ride whatever your budget allows you to buy and maintain.. :thumb:

haha. my very first bike was a rs125 replica fn plate in 1997, rode it for a year and yeah.. its famous for it pick up and of course the big size, i remember we used to call the exhaust MILO GONG. lolz , anyway rs and mito do not lose out by bike. they lose out by the 25cc difference...

Some ppl think 25cc is merely a small amount but seriously if there is a new model of rs 150cc and mito 150cc, i don think any other model can pace it.. so my opinion is its not fair to compare 150cc with 125cc.

about the race and group, i didnt mean to judge anyone, there are no stat to prove what group ride what bike. we are all rider:thumb: haha, but still it all boil down to what you like, like my wife sister, insisting on getting a old model scooter and no matter what i say cant seem to stop her,and now she is happy riding her SCOOTER:faint: no one can judge you on what you ride.. as long you are happy and you LOVE what you ride:cheers:

a two stroke sport bike would be the fast choice.

but dun be surprise if u can't catch up with an rxz.

2b two stroke bike can easily hit 170-200.

the top speed record for 50cc two stroke is around 240 last time i checked.

no offence, but i dun tink its useless. coz if single swingarm is useless, engineers wun design it los. i stil suggest nsr150sp. coz its fast enuff, easy to maintain.

yeah single arm realy useless and heavy.

better get kr.. but a lot of kr got problem starting in the morning.

kr also more relaxed position.

:thumb: haha.. seriously everybike have it pro and con, there are no prove which bike is faster or better:cheeky: , thats why this three king 2 stroker is still unbeaterable, i really don think that is a winner.. we three are all winners,:shy:

about the single swingarm, i mean that with a swingarm,i do not feel that i could corner faster? lean corner lower? 180 more stable? i believe the purpose of having a single swingarm is just to make it special. which 2b have a single?

no matter you are riding tzm, sp , kr.i respect.:clapping: (no offence) except for p-plate

most imptly is understand the bike i tink. haha!

i used to ride nsr , sp , tzm , rs , wave , rxk , cbr150 , and now my forth kr.. i agree with maomaoz, alot of ppl die because they are not familer with the bike and when they pillion some hot chicks they tend to show off a bit, they do not know they are risking their life, so my point is : race anytime, but making sure you have full control with your bike.

anyway i see like ppl not very intersted with this thread, like we are the only few who enjoy discussing 2b sports.. :cheeky:

why nvr ride italy's finest!

haha

well i rode my rs for a year then got revoked :sian:

but i nvr regretted buying it.

coz i wanted it big, stable, and unique

choose which ever suits ur style.

its the bike that choose the rider... not rider choose the bike...

one day you'll walk pass a bike shop and u'll notice a bike screaming ''pick me pick me!''

I have a 09 rs in my garage. It's a restricted model. Top speed if you want to know goes to about 130-135 before you will feel the restriction. The revs will not climb past 10k.

I'm not sure about 06-08 models.

Posted

bro why 135? i remember my fn repilca can go 150, i think all model so be able? its 125cc ma, rxz , rxk , 125z , sonic125 , mito , i thgink all can hit 150.. is the restricton so bad?
