Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

dd ring straps is the better choice .. cau it will not release so easily when in accident ..

Not to mention, most helmets with buckles such as HJC IS-MAX are not PSB approved, of course, not that PSB is a recognized standard for helmet safety, it just means you'll get into trouble with TP.

well, it's your head, and it's your call.

i rather trust the D rings and the strap than the plastic buckle.

i have to say that it is really convenient to have the quick release clip installed but like the bros mentioned, its a choice between convenience & safety. i personally feel that the plastic clips don't look too safe. there used to a metal slot clip, kinda like a mini seat belt clip that they used to sell. i don't see them ard anymore probably coz its expensive n ppl don't wanna pay for that. i have one of those and it's actually really strong.

quick release buckles are not illegal. just that they are not psb approved. u might hav problems with insurance claims if touchwood something happens. TP wont purposely pick on your strap-buckle, unless u very guailan. they have better things to do.

if illegal, the shops selling the helmets will be the 1st to kenna.

shops selling quick release buckle normally have "for export only" label to protect them from legal issues, but for us bikers, its more about the insurance claim. some insurance company will not pay if they find out if your helmet is (1) not psb approved - although psb is not world standard of safety and (2) u use quick release buckle. btw, how much time would u safe if u use quick release buckle?? 5 secs?? why take the trouble to save 5 sec and put your insurance claim in jeapordy?

Personally, I feel that the quick release is not really safe and I dont want to get into any trouble. But the helmet I am intending to buy only comes with the quick release. Does anybody know where I can have the straps changed to a D-Ring instead?
