Dear all VFR riders,

see this link : http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/showthread.php?t=114975

Briefly explain :

at low rpm or low speed, there is noise fr the shaft and difficult to control especially with pillion.

Had called to BoonSiew and feedback that need more bikers to feedback in order to warrant a ECM update.

Pls voice up if u had this problem.

At low speed, which gear are you in? in order to have this problem, would like to try it on my DCT version.

A bit of history : fr previous riding experience ..

I rider ST1300 and Magna 750 (heavy and powerful bikes) for many years ..

When travelling at low speed ,, fr gear 1 to 3 ... the bike will not have some jerking (fr transmission) which u need to increase the rpm to ~3 k and half clutch to minimise this problems.

U will hear the cranking sound fr the transmission shaft if u dont do the above mentioned ... Initially, I thought thI stis is kind of bike characteristics .. After viewing the remarks fr the website stated .. I started to feel this is not right .

Hence, asking Boon Siew for advice and I was told to gather more input fr other riders ..

May sound complex but the riders will feel this abnormality in bike performance ..

The UK riders had feedback that the update had help in this area.

Hence, asking for more comments and raise this to boon Siew for further following up ..

I've emailed Mr Toh from Boon Siew regarding this juddering issue. According to him, my bike has been updated before. He also told me that all their bikes were given the ECU update before they deliver it to SG.

If there are other issues he advised that I go over to Boon Siew for a check up.

Personally, I feel that we should all just go over and bang some tables. Hehe.

What I was told is that it was not known here .. different stories .. Something wrong somewhere ,,

I think all VFR 1200 riders should know what is the latest software version in our bike ..

The bike is consider the top end and we should be getting update if needed .. (Seems like computer hardware !!!!).

Fr the websites infor .. Honda dealer has the ECM device which is able to check the software version .. so , which is the latest ..

The ECM refresh sessions seems to take around half an hours ..

There is another thread which also reflects latest version software not only improve throttling and also on gas mileage ..

I am currently pumping Shell V power to minimize this jerking motion . (advise fr VFR forum earlier).

There are quite some parameters involved ..

We should plan and execute ..

Look forward to next Monday meet to discuss further ...

Saw a youtube describing ways of changing gear for manual and DCT.

take note of gear changing rpm is around 2 - 3k ..

Not easy to control this in city riding especially in Sg road condition.
