One thing to add on is dat I saw the actual kymco xciting 300 and it is quite attractive at first look. But when u look at the interior, I mean meters n the compartments below the meter, it is not as nice as joymax 300i.

I love our blue color meters n the design of our joymax

 

I went down to take a look at Kymco Downtown & Xciting, I think the seat storage is also smaller than the Joymax.

sometimes you must not believe the indicator.. you have to trust yourself.. engine oil suppose to be 3k change 1 time depend on how good is the engine oil..

last time i ride GTS200 i was using Agip engine oil.. so i every 5k change 1 time.. sometimes in between the indicator come out i just reset it..

becoz the indicator not accruate one.. haha... many GTS rider had suffer this promble.. eg:Fuel indicator, when pump full but only 4 bar.. sometime 5 bar sometime drop to 4 bar.. up down up down.. haha

 

Ok , den I bought the 4t oil and fill it up on the left hand corner of my bike..(top left hand beside meter there's a cap which needs me to open up and there's something for me to fill the oil). Is it ok, coz my previous bike doesn't need me to top up 4t oil, I only Noe dat 2 stroke bike need 2t oil and I thought 4 stroke bike doesnt need to keep refilling the oil again..

 

Btw one thing is dat ever since the indicator light up, I feel dat everytime I ride, it's quite hot(the engine) and when I stop the exhaust is damn hot.. Any prob?

kmkoon, this maybe but what made you choose SWT400 over Joymax? .... I'm also considering ....

When I pass my 2A and the same time my GTS got some problem wif the engine becoz my coolant overheat and the mech say maybe air go in the engine need to $$$ to fix it, but in the end I nv fix instead I trade in my Gts to Silverwing..

I choose SW becoz of the Design, the storage, the power, the seat, most important is the engine..

Cannot say much here wait kanna scold.. Haha.. If u interested you can go to the silverwing tech corner fourm to take a look..

but the disadvantage of this bike is the brake system becoz the bike only have 1 disc brake at front while other bike eg: GTS 300i joymax have 2 disc brake.. That's all ...hehe

Oh no.. Bro the left hand side of the compartment is for your coolant only not 4t oil..

I think you better flush away your coolant if not, your engine will damage..

The 4T oil is for ur engine oil locate right side below the pillion stand that is ur engine and ur engine oil have to fill there..

 

Nowonder ur bike feel damm hot becoz No coolant to cool ur engine. Hope you faster clean ur coolant asap..

Problem solved, really can only say stupid me. But just glad that I solved the problem.

Glad that your bike is ok now it's your new bike, so must really tale care the bike

any problem just share here, i will try my best to help you.. Becoz I think there is not

much different between gts 200 and 300 except the engine.. So have u complete running in??

Changed 1st engine oil, now abt 1k mileage.

my silverwing not bad.. i hit 150km/h when i go touring to melaka.. the wing so strong but the bike still very stable..

haha i dun wan to say so much at here la.. wait kanna ban.. becoz it's the GTS300i joymax forum..

Haha actually its okay coz u r also an ex gts rider and somemore sharing makes us learn more things. I think Silverwing is fast, I tried my Joymax and it goes abt 135- nearly 140km/h but if anything more, the rpm will go into the red zone...I'm not sure if it can get any faster after somemore oil change and seasoning.

 

Btw I feel that actually its alr enough for sg roads.

 

I dun work in Airport or budget Terminal. Haha sry not really wise to disclose my workplace in the forum.

 

One thing to add on is that while I rode in the rain wif my previous roadwin, I will be like all wet and the droplets of the rain will hit my chest and bodies severely. but while riding my gts 300i, I dun get as really wet as riding my roadwin maybe becoz of the windshield n the shape of the bike.

But no matter wad I hope the rain will not continue as it is a real pain for bikers to ride in the rain.

Try to feel the wind while riding.. You will feel the wind is blowing from the back..

I'm still thinkin abt it, not sure if I can fork out the tym to go. I've discuss wif my gf abt it n she is still quite skeptical on riding all the way up to Thai, thus not sure if I'll be goin alone.

 

Still have some tym to think abt it first....Actually our bike can be consider suitable for touring as the trunk is huge enough n its comfortable..

It will be abit wasted if we didn't manage to go on any tour while riding this bike...haha

yup.. went to melaka with my frenz just to eat A&W.. haha..

but the objectives is to condition ourself for long distance touring.. haha.. not easy u know.. when we riding up to melaka, we face a lot of problem.. eg: when riding fast speed, the wing is very strong, u need to hold the handle tight becoz our bike got windshield, so a bit hard.. hehe///

Btw I have checked wif my fren, he said that after run-in everything, kymco xciting's fc is abt 33-34km/l. It is damn good for a 2A bike. Now its only that can Gts 300i match that after run-in...(Coz from previous thread, there's ppl getting abt 32km/l while running in so gts 300i might have a chance)
