Darkening my windshield

Hi guys, i recently juz bought a windshield online..i bought a light tint instead of dark tint coz i scared my vision may be affected coz the windshield is much higher than stock..now i plan to darken my windshield but wish to get opinions n suggestions on how to go about doing it. i haven realli thought of darkening the whole windshield or mebbe juz a part of it. hope u guys can share more.

 

i do have sum stuff in mind though..wad do u guys tink?

 

1) use black spray and spray e inside of the windshield.

2) using those decal kinda sticker dey use for cars to paste on the inside of the windshield. no idea on e cost and where to get it. and also, after sum time will it peel off?

yes bro..now e internals under my speedo all can see..not nice

i use a thin strip from my old xray photos to darken the top part of my visor.

I do not know.I ask my friend once and he say comes from 3m some percentage.those who drive will know.

Yep, use those film for tinting car windows and windshields. X-ray film a bit too exotic if you don't have your own X-ray copy.

 

Painting the windshield will work but is a rather crude option if the shield is big. You don't look through the windshield to ride anyway (unless you're on a heavy cruiser) so no safety penalty.

 

If you have qualms about precision cutting and fitting a tinted film then contact Juzzwheels. They can do a windshield decal or something for you. Or just get their pro assistance to cut your bulk 3M film. Non standard service but never hurts to try.

juz get a roll of tinted film and stick on ur windscreen. $20+ can get a big roll at home fix

I have a solution : buy a new windscreen with darker tint! I know of a place in Australia that does screens for your model :P

Have you done it? I sprayed mine from the underside. Looks alright but not smooth. Doesnt really bother me and it looks better now.

best to use tinting films or opaque stickers.. at least it's reversible..

Hmm i did it in 3 layers. Very easy to do. No laquer. I dont mind an okay finishing from the underside.Cant tell from the exterior

juz did mine up..bought a leftover dark tinted sticker from a fellow forumer..i used juz abit onli..hahaha..any1 wans e remainin i dun mind sellin to u cheap2..$10..bought from e guy double dat price
