Different in Honda CB400 spec 2 and spec 3

Please help me cause i'm very new to this forum and bikes.:cheeky:

 

Recently i intend to upgrade my license from 2B to 2A and a friend of mine recommend me the CB400.

 

Basically what is the different in term of technical spec,fuel consumption,price between this two model?

Spec 2 one Vtec , Spec 3 two Vtec more powerful , And of course the tail of spec 3 look nicer than spec 2..

spec 3 is overpriced and revo is way overpriced. might as well get a class 2 bike i think ver s or spec 1 would be good enough

But spec 1 and spec 2 price don't diff much. I'm look for a spec 2 with spec 3 tail. Will drive 2a for a year or two before upgrade to class 2.

the opening of vtec... spec 3 open later... Spec 1&2 version are nearly the same... maybe the looks abit difference... for spec 3.. HISS is improved, looks improved.. vtec improved...i felt tat comparing spec3 and revo.. spec3 more worth it..

well if price wise, you're comfortable with the price differences then ok ah. if assuming you're tight on a budget and just want something to use till class 2, a spec 1 or ver s will do i suppose spec 2 would be good if you do not need the COE to last that long

In January 2002, HYPER VTEC evolved into Spec II aiming at letting everybody actually feel the power drive over the entire ranges. As one of the aims of Spec II development, it can be pointed out that the CB400 SUPER FOUR, the model on which the system was installed, is the one having a wide user class. There were voices to point out that beginners, in particular, were unable to fully utilize the four-valve stage from above the revolution range of 6,700. The development team then developed HYPER VTEC SPEC II anew to enable many more users to enjoy the four-valve stage of HYPER VTEC.

SPEC II achieved increasing torque in the middle speed range and smoother power by refining the valve timing, inteke and exhaust systems, and the valve switchover timing revolution from two to four valves was changed from 6,750rpm to 6,300rpm. It has resulted in powerful and sporty engines, enabling one to actually feel VTEC in all driving ranges from low to top. In December 2003, SPEC III was introduced. The switchover timing for a 6 speed only was changed from 6,300rpm to 6,750rpm to improve fuel consumption in cruising over high speed roads without spoiling the cheerful drive.

spec 2 is a very powerful bike to ride. occasional speeders would like to have this bike as it is easy to hit VTEC. easier to play with torque. But long distance riding. TP dun need to see your bike, hear the vtec means u hit over 100km/h alr.

hey, happened to drop by here as i'm getting a super4 too. but i really need a firm decision on whether to get spec1,2 or 3. i really need hell lots of guidance because i plan to ride it for about 5 years at least. if any kind soul would be good enough to text me @94755856 (matt) on what would be a good choice and why. URGENT!

should i go for ver s which costs mostly around 3.5k or spec 2 which is only 2 more years coe left and costs 5k+? is it a huge difference in drive experience between these 2 bikes?

THIS ALL NOT A ( VTEC 2 )

Only half of the top engine is vtec2 , but down side is ( version engine ) !

 

When drive no vtec open , like normal version bike !
