Hey guys... Got a question and hope everyone can help me,

Are Malaysia's PSB approved helmets allowed on sg roads? From what I know theirs sticker is in red in color.. Is it allowed wearing their helmets in sg?

Saw shops in jb selling Nova helmets with their PSB approved stickers on it.. Thanks!!

Police dont check for PSB logo. As long have helmet they pass. You think TP so free check on by one for helmet. How to check?

Only sticker. Anyone also can put sticker. If sticker drop off how.

So helmet is OK.

i cannot believe there are still no answers after these years. i'm a recently graduated 2b rider and will like to source a helmet in jb. some points that makes no sense to me.

1) a couple of approving agencies and adopted by different governments. isn't dot & snell better? heard it's also the agency used in USA? correct me if i'm wrong here.

2) brands. helmet brands are the manufacturers. and should have been reliable irregardless of the approving agencies. therefore, what's the difference if i buy a Shoei / Arai helmet in JB / USA / London / or the insignificant singapore?

the point of a helmet is safety. but i smell politics that the singapore government is using to interfere with our purchase options.

and yes, you do get a fine if you don't have a psb approved helmet. so what now? advice appreciated.

Do you know of anyone personally who got fined for wearing non-psb approved helmet?

I've been wearing Arai for as long as I can remember, and to date have never had any issues, even though I was stopped by TP, but that was for speeding hahaha

As long as you are wearing reputable brand, they dont really bother. In my opinion, just wear what you feel gives you best protection. The sticker doesnt offer any protection nor mean anything ...lol

There have been plenty of answers to various forms and guises of the same exact question over the years. It is probably one of the most discussed topics other than COE prices. The search button would be helpful.

1) Rehashed over and over.

2) Rehashed over and over.

You get fined for wearing a squid helmet like a half cap, no visor, anything stupid. If you wear some cheap **** helmet that looks like it belongs in a toy store, you might get into trouble. No one has ever been fined for wearing a non-psb approved, but otherwise reputable brand. If you are going to use a tinted visor, be prepared to get stopped.

A search for "approved helmets" returns the following.
