Hi guys I'm finishing my TP in june and currently just started scouting for bikes.

I'm interested in street bikes such as the Yamaha RXZ 135(?) and Honda CBF 150

I am 1.78m and 80KG would it be reccommended?

Additionally I know cbf150 is a 4 stroke which would mean less maintenance is that a correct assumption?

is the cbf 150 still in production? Because I'm trying to find a second hand one and having trouble procuring one.

Thanks in advance,

Kegwine.

i don't know whether is it still in production. you might want to call shops to check it out. however i have seen a few cbf150 in my car parks that are quite new, around 3-4 years old only.

as long as the bike doesn't give you any engine problems i would say the maintenance is more or less the same for 2b bikes..

Yups, its still in production so u can get first hand if u wan..... 2nd hand shld have a few people selling but i tink its rare coz its such a good bike! Low fuel consumption, low maintenance and good for tall riders as the seat height is quite high compare to kups or other common bike as it is 18inch rim also....

Hi altya, it seems you own the CBF 150 too, I heard it has quite a low top speed of 100km/h is that true?

Additionally is it easy to get spare parts? Does it use similar or same parts to CBR and CB?

Lastly would you recommend the cbf150 as a first bike?

Thanks in advance.

Top speed is around 115km/h for me, but like wat others would say, if u wan speed... go for sport bike and sacrifice the FC.... Wan gd FC will have to sacrifice the speed. But for me, SG speed limit is 90km/h so this is more than enuff. My fren with some exhaust and carb mod is able to go till 130km/h but have slightly lower FC tot... Unless u wan go for kup which has both FC and speed but too small and light for me tot, prefer the stability of a heavier bike..

Spare part is easy, its a honda anyway, most parts are common parts... Even if no stock at normal bike shop, just go ah boy, FJT or everfit and u can easily get original honda parts for cbf.

I am using cbf150 as my first bike and wont be changing soon as I am on budget, so it depends on how deep is ur pocket? If on budget den cbf is a gd choice, save on fuel and maintenance so the money can be used on something else. But if u have more money den there are many other similar bikes such as fz16, CBR150, YBR125 and more...

recommend you get a reasonably cheap bike to ride for the 1st year. at the end of the year, can decide to go for class2A or upgrade or change to new 2B bikes. gain more riding/ road experience during the first year.
