Hi,

I'm a Malaysian working & living in Singapore under EP and would like to find out if it's possible for me to ride a Malaysian registered bike with my Malaysian license and what's the associated cost (daily VEP charge, etc) as well as requirements (do I need to furnish an International Driving License, etc).

I have read the info from both LTA & Traffic Police but still a bit confused. If the above case is possible, how do I pay for the daily VEP charges? Do I need to crossover to Johor every once in a while (is there a limit for a Malaysian vehicle to stay in SG?) to validate my autopass?

Do note that I am also living in Singapore in addition to having the EP (but not a PR).

If there's an existing thread regarding my above question, really appreciate your help to guide me to the relevant threads.

Thanks very much in advance! :thumb:

you can ride in and out no problem, as long as daily.

max you can leave your bike over in singapore is 12 or 6 months i believe.

as for ERP, you are charged 5 bucks fixed flat fee when you leave singapore if you dont have IU installed. if you have iu installed, charge at the ERP rate.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

$4 per day for VEP from Monday - Fridays

10 free VEP days per calender year per vehicle.

Recommend to install IU at S$150 + GST one time charge if you intend to use your motorcycle in SG most of the time.
