sometimes the HISS light on my bike wont go off after i on the bike. Bike cannot start unless HISS goes off.. true? Have to turn on n off couple of times .. Anyone knows what could be wrong? Pls advise...

didnt duplicate the keys. its the original key. by right, if i on the battery before cranking the bike, the HISS light should take 1sec to go off then can start bike... but in my case sometimes it wont happen... tink haf to get it checked out...

 

Surprisely i found 1 thing funny, everytime if the HISS light wont go off after i on the battery,i will crank the bike then off n on the battery again... like this way ok liao...dun noe is conincidence or what... ...

so is your problem solved? I also have the same following problem. But i just go to boom siew to reprogram the keys and make a new key. Problemed. Can u share your problem and solution?

Recently I got the HISS Intermittent problem in my vtec 2. Sometimes the Hiss light goes off some time NO. I go to boon siew the asked me to use the original key. So guess what happens after i used the key for a few days. Intermittent still have with the original key but until the 2nd day the key totally cannot use.......... spoil??? while i going to boon siew again. I pushed the bike from the Shell station. They did a check and shows the original key which i used for a few day is SPOIL. But the checked on the other is OK leh, dam funny right. So i bought a new key and ask him to program all the DAM KEYS. Guess what ALL THE DAM KEYS can be use again. The stupid problem is solved.

 

It show how fxxk xp is the DAM HISS system in super4 vtec.

U guess what the DAM HISS system only can program FOUR dam time than thats gone the EU system in the bike. According to the Honda the EU which is part of the Super 4 vtec2 cost about $800 sing dollars... Like killing man.... suck blood..... suck bone marrow.... suck nerve........... suck untill dry dry..................

 

ANYONE HAVE THE PROBLEM IN SUPER4 VTEC2 HISS DO SHARE HERE. MAYBE WE CAN EXCHANGE TIPS AH........:) :smile: :smile: :p :shades: :giddy: :giddy:

Dont understand why they even bother to have the HISS system..

My HISS has been working fine for almost 1.5 year.

Try not hook the bike key to any other keys. When starting the bike the metal keys might interfere the operation.

dun worry... mine also sometimes the HISS light dun go off... u try take out key and put in the other way.. sometimes it works.... i got another method but dunno will work on ur bike too... when u start,IMMEDIATELY press eletric start to start the bike, no need wait for the light to go off.. hope this is helpful for u...

I guess you are right. So now i use without other keys. I think the hiss key internal program is very easily corrupted- lost of data. Juat like a piece of expensive floppy disk. But anyway now i got three keys liao. Anytime problem with any keys i can use other key.

 

At boon siew program one key is $30, key is $26.80 and cut $1.50 to $4.

Only for boon siew bike. Guess what i already made two spare key total cost $120.08 for just pass 2 month....

HISS use chip + key to on the system. Anyone with the key but without the chip will not be able to start the bike.

i have a probelm with the HISS problem also mine is that sometime i left the bike for 1 to 2 days the HISS light went off total but after i turn on the bike it came out again. Don't know any wrong with that. BUt what i can say is that if the HISS is still on when you have your bike start up that mean that your bike have a problem to startup so is better to go and have your bike check at BOON SIEW. Initialisation got problem dun know will it cause any engine breakdown or not when travelling.

HISS will not let anyone without the original key to start up. i tried before by putting in the new key without the programming. It cannot start at all.

NOTE to all, only goes to BOON SIEW for programming of key any other duplication will cause the system to breakdown.

HISS indicator will go off after 1 day of no operating of bike.

HISS only recognises the chip on the original key and only works during ignition.

 

My original key got bended before and couldn't insert into the ignition hole, luckily before that I had duplicated a spare non-HISS key. I just use the non-HISS key to start the bike, the trick is to place the HISS chip (bent key) as close to the ignition area as possible. I think the sensor is just below the honda logo.

Hi there what u mention is a bit funny! With Hiss light on u can't even start the bike. U can only start your bike when the Hiss light is off. Bonn siew dun duplicate keys but they do the programming only one DAM key at $30.00 before GST.... Mxx**(()hxr Fx$#$xkxr. :lol: . If ur bike is paralla in port programming with be $60. U need to buy the DAM uncut key from them at $26.??. U send to cut is abt $3 or $4. Bring back to let them program....... the DAM key.....

It's like a value added feature.

 

PS: do yamaha, ducati, suzuki have this type of feature in their big bikes?

Helllo everybody.....erm

i juz wanna share the problem solving for this problem.....not really a solving method but a prevention one....

not long ago...when i got my first bike...the mechanic once tpld me that not to bundle ALL UR KEYS together as this have an effect on ur ignition....as it will provide extra unneccessary weight on the ignition itself thus spoilt it........i have ask ard about this to more experience rider....and the respond is similar....

from that day....i follow their method and no problem have occured on my ignition.....

 

SO GUYS.....KEEP UR OTHER KEYS AWAY FROM UR IGNITION...ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO RIDE SPEC2...COS FROM WHAT I HEARD...DUPLICATING THE KEYS IS EXPENSIVE LIAO......

Since you had been frequently BS to make/flash the keys, did you manage to see how they do it? Do they use special equipments?

They use a special wire to program but until now i still not sure how they do it. The tech there told me the hiss system only can program up to 4 time leh after that connot liao. Must buy new one at $800 .... :giddy: :giddy: :giddy: :giddy:

As a vtec2 owner what can i say about the bike is still a very good bike compare to my experience wth big project one, version S, vect 1 and present bike vtec 2. My top speed for big project one is 170km/h, vS 180km/h (but can maintain only 100km), vect 1 only 120km/h (stupid, problem bike-paralla import bike) and vtec 2 top speed 190km/h or more, meter cannot display (maintain abt 150km) but now this bike got Hiss problem.

 

All record is from the north-south express way in Malaysia.

My bike use the cheapest engine oil non syn. oil. i only add something.......in engine....... :bounce: ;)
