Hi Guys especially to Bikers who is from Malaysia,

I started working in Singapore recently. I have a Malaysia B Full license. How can I get a Singapore bike license? What are the ways other than to take a Singapore bike license test? I want to keep my Malaysia license.

If i'm not wrong.. if u have 3 yrs of riding experience in msia, all u have to do is to go to any driving centre for a conversion, and also to take the Riding theory test.

u have to get to JPJ and get some docs, there're some forms to fill and some money to pay. they will give u one closed envelope to be opened by sg driving center.

then u can register urself and take basic theory test, voila...! 2B... !

Looks like I have 2 choices.

A) Convert. I have a B Full. When coverted, do I get a Class 2 license? I heard only convert to 2A. This is cheapest but my Malaysian bike license is killed by JPJ. After 1 year, then only take Class 2.

B) Don't convert. Take 2B license test. Even if I passed all the way with 1st attempt, BBDC says I need to spend about SGD500. Then 1 year later only can sit for 2A. Expensive choice. Total 2 years before I can ride >400 cc bikes.

why go thru the hassle again since u are already licensed to ride?

just convert and get a class 2A lor.

Ok. This post is with my understanding of my fren who is a PR in singapore.

First of all, if u are a PR, u can't ride malaysian bike in singapore. The choice u have is to go malaysia, upgrade ur license to the highest one (i heard there is some under table way to get ur license straight away) and den go to any driving centre in Singapore and take a theory test and convert it to 2A. (Highest u can convert is 2A) After one yr, take ur class 2.

2nd, If you are not a PR, on working permit, u can oni ride malaysian bike to singapore. And pay all toll fees...

Hope this helps.

I remember once askin..And what was told was whatever class licence you have for bikes..Once you convert to a Singapore licence..They will only give you a 2b licence..

09/07/2009 - Passed 2B TP (10th attempt)

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

things to take note..

if u r a PR... u muz have ur license b4 u get ur PR... otherwise u can't convert ur license...

and also, if u convert to sg license, the msian license will be canceled..

eh... the most u can have is 2A if u have singapore class2 equivalent license in malaysia... u need to wait for another yr to take class 2...
