All SBF bros, anyone fitted the GPR on their S4? was wondering beside taking out the silencer cone can we also take out the small metal 'tube'( sorry , dunno wats it call) to make it like those of Yoshi n Micron.. hollow look? Pls Help:sweat:

r u taking abt the silencer or the internal baffle?... or you meant is to take out the inner lip of the muffler? So it will have only 1 big hole at the end?

err... if thats wat u call it.. yup.. take out liao can haf those hollow look like yoshi.. instead of stock exhaust look..

Kata_Killer got it when first launch in Sin. We had tried only pick up good, overall feel it suck...Save your $$$ go for MIrco or YOshi..

but will by takin out e inner lip of the muffler help? Coz like more power will come out of the exhaust rather dan the small hole.. So is it possible to take it out

By taking out the inner lip means that u are modding ur exhaust, even if its a stock muffler TP or ROV will still catch u for illegal mod.

 

Btw the inside of the muffler is called baffles and at the end that u see protuding out is part of the silencer.

Erm, anyone using the GPR exhaust for CB400? Would like to know the feedback on the exhaust. e.g. sound, acceleration and distance.

sound is much power without silencer part. Change something so more power such as: Iridium sparks, tune carb (more air), change new air filter or K&N..

Hmm.. Endcan only doesnt bring about much improvement in performance.. Maybe slight improvements.. Esp on pick ups.. Best to change to full system for noticable improvements.. Sadly though GPR doesnt have a full system for S4 yet.. Hmm i agree GPR w/o the silencer is very bassy n loud. It sounds even louder on a Version S as compared to Vtecs.

Excel is the distributor right? if i buy the pipe, inspection all done liao or must i go to lta n get the inspection done?

U'll only buy the pipe from Excel. VIACOM Kaki Bukit is located conveniently 2mins ride from Excel. Inspection is done there.

how to remove the silencer? based on my fren, only GPR can remove silencer with ease. any idea how to do it? is the process reversible? thanks bro

u just take out the pipe and look for the cone like shape.. thats it.. i heard there's a shop doing mod making the inside baffle bigger.. it coz ard 100+ but the sound, its extremely loud even on idling.

guys, i collected my bike. the cone shape thing is the one that makes it illegal rite? ah zhen from hkl says if put that cone thing in, it is illegal liao thats why he took it out for me

from what i know the cone shape thingy is silencer..

if you take it out will need to spare $500

i put both cone in and took it out. no diff in sound.

juz got my GPR endcan..

 

i compared with yoshi firespec and find that GPR the internal tube is wider.

 

As mine is carbon, not so easy dented. Heard from my mech that yoshi one easily dented.

 

my silencer can be taken out quite easily.

 

The sound is quite loud during low gears 3 to 5 rpm even with silencer on. When cruising at >80km/h, its quite silent. But when vtec open, the exhaust roars..

 

Performance wise, i'd say better response n rpm moves up more smoothly. (Dun expect so much from just a endcan)

 

Heard that can change the internal fibers and the sound will be LOUD even with silencer on.

 

Any bros got anything else to add on?

u got put or take the cone in? with the cone insert, at 8kpm, its kinda louder and sharper.
