Beware Of This Tune In Motortiam

let me explain e whole incident,firstly i when to tune in motor tiam which is located at blk 1016 yishun industrial park A #01-214 cause my bike when low gear,up to rpm 5k like cannot go up anymore.i at first tell e boss mayb is carb problem.den he say dis assemble first.my piston & piston ring which is juz change 4month ago,he tell me tt my piston kana eaten le nid to change.den he say e rpm ting is due to mine piston.so i say ok change lor.so thing he changed all together include piston+piston ring+gasket and flush coldent.i still confirm with him tt i wan all stock de,he still say ok.dun worry.

 

After 2 week which is today.i went to HKL and wanted to change my carb,after changing finish,e mech blow,den he change got a strange sound coming out from e piston,den i say e pistion juz change 2week ago de.

 

So e mech explain to me more about the piston,it have many kind,including fake de and stock de.After tt i went back to tune in motor tiam,this time round he say e sound does not come from piston,he say is come from e below engine part which is block,den he say block muz change liao.ok nvm i say wan wait for e boss.i wait for e boss nearly 45min,the counter girl keep giving me excuss,at first she say boss at toilet,i ask again boss eating lunch and i ask again he making cal =x.

 

Finally he dare to come out liao,den he still try to push e blame to his mech,saying tt at first change tis piston nv got this sound meh,den try to change topic say my clutch ah wad eva.e kind soul hkl mech ask me to come here ask dem wad kind of piston they change for me,so i asked,they say is stock de.den i lan lan lor.

 

i go back hkl again,e kind soul hkl mech dis assemble my engine.and take out e piston,den found out tt they piston which tune in motor tiam change for me is e most cheapest kind of all which onli cost at most around 30buck,and the gasket they change for me is those 3rd party want which is not truth tt say out from their mouth which is stock,and tune in motor tiam still dare to tell me is stock kind and still dare to charge me total amount of 230++ for a 30buck piston+3rd party gasket.

 

hkl oso take out mine block and check,he say mine block is totally in tip top condition and dere is no nid to change block.

 

 

So i have learnt my lesson today,treat this 200++ as a lesson to me and realli a great thx for e hkl mech which explain to me.I tell tis real exp becuz i tink those not honest de motortiam not worth for us to go as we trust them so much and change those cheapo stuff for me and charge me so ex. uppppzzz for hkl

yup at e corner de..they dare to charge me e item cost of stock which e item is 3rd party cheapo item.

Yap charged me $2 for a $1 bulb, some more quality of bulb is inferior, probably worth less than $1.

 

When bulb don't blink, the boss claimed that it's my circuit problem, asked me to change. (Maybe trying to chop me, see me P-Plate) But already told by Planet's mech that it's because bulb voltage different not hot enough so won't flicker.

 

Went to Planet to change bulb, confirmed nothing wrong with circuit.

It's the quality of the bulb used by that shop. (Cheapest in the market)

i oso notice all e bike who went dere.e mech will dis assemble ur engine.den say wad piston,block and e chicken wing(the engine below part).tt time the mech still ask wan wan overhual marh,saying tt my chicken wing loosen liao.den checked at hkl,e mech say check all 100bike oso like tt,whr got spoil.luckily nv get con to overhual tt time or else spend big buck liao.

i juz treat it as a lesson lor.if nv change bikeshop,i tink my bike at first is no problem wan oso will become got problem and at e unhonest shop earn big buck.

Yar, if true nothing to be afraid, but no proof so if the matter is pursued, we are at a disadvantage. So I will not state the exact shop name.

 

Should have asked for a receipt at that time, but because $2 so too bad didn't think of asking, if not can scan and post BIG BIG for everyone to see, owner want to dispute also nothing to say.

Actually u should take some pics of ur piston as a proof.

if the shop decide to sue you..then u got a strong case.

my tt piston still at hkl dere as mine bike nw leave it dere to change e piston and service.e mech oso bring me a old original stock piston and the cheapo piston tt yishun shop change for me to compare.and explain to me.yea i gonna take a pic of that piston and show it to yours guys.

Maybe we should compile a list of shops with poor or even dishonest Boss / Practice, but with the condition that each post must be backed up with proof.

i normally go to that shop (H** H***) to get chain lubes. the ah moi at the counter seems nice to me leh. always give me discounts behind T*****'s back.

 

and the $2 light bulb, i got it for a dollar after some sweet words to the ah moi. hahaha

 

but i dare not do my bike there, even for a simple servicing. scary.

lolz..but duno y still got lot of malay biker go dere,the shop dere eu can hardly see any chinese customer,all mostly malay de.i tink the main reason is that it open on sunday ba.

yup i forgot to mention the mats patronizing that shop. each time i dismount my bike, they look at me like i owe them money. then when i go inside talk to the ah moi, they stare at me like thats my girl stay away. and whenever i leave the place, they'll give me a look with the messege 'watch out'.

 

i dont wear flashy helmets, my bike is pretty much stock, and i dress casually. dont know what these mats want.

 

and i'm a MAT myself. sigh.
