Hi all, start this thread hoping you all can share JB ah gua lanes discussions here. Because i went once and saw the whole stretch of shophouses all bikeshops with numerous accesories, but don't know which one has the best price and services.

Maybe if you have been there, care to share the prices and which shop is the best, and which "black" shops to look out for?

Also one question, changing sport rims for kup, which has the best price and around how much?

Posted

Sorry, newbie here. How to get to Ah Gua lane?

If you are good, you are good, don't have to boast around and stab others from behind. Remember this: GOD IS WATCHING YOU TOO!

PS: You don't have to believe in GOD because when it's all over, you'll either see him up there or someone else down there...

From first link.

Do a U turn after coming out from custom.

Hit straight all the way.

U will pass by the Jalan Wong Ah Fook Shell which is popular among singaporean.

Continue hit straight, by passing a mini fly over. When you approaching a slight right bend. look out and be prepare to filter left in.

Even if you overshot, you will definetly see a long stretch of motordiam on the left.

Thats ah gua lane. You can still enter from the front. Definetly Hard to miss.

WARNING!!!When going into Ah Gua lane, please do not enter at high speed as there's a very deep pothole at the entrance..... unless you're looking to change rims and new mudguard (or a new face)

You guys can try the shop further down the lane at a shop call BOYSEN. The shop has a very big PLAYLIFE sign. The price there is very reasonable and the mechanic is very friendly. Was recommended there by my friend. Look for mechanic call Ah Siang.

not all the parts in AGL is cheaper than SG leh

example:

parts like voltmeters (RM$120 to $130) which u can get in SG for $40+ (w/o worksmanship)

and other parts like TT900 thailand tyres (can get for ard RM$130) actually cost ard the same as LAB

been visiting hou heng (the one further up the street) for most of the parts on my bike

pricewise i wont say it is the cheapest ard

but the mech there (ah di) is quite careful with his work

do be prepared for a longer waiting time if u only wan him to handle yr stuff (cause he need to multitask and handle other walk-in customers as well)

got my racing boy sports rims from him RM$185 a few days ago only (not inclusive of tyres and bearings and airvalve)

:goodluck:
