Went to a local shop that serves JB bikes. Price are definitely cheaper then AGL, but still more ex compared to "local" prices. Went back again, this time in a J-plate car, haha price different like light and day. Was quoted 180RM for wave full coverset, now "only" 110RM.

Hey guys. anyone frequent visitors to the bike shops there (eg. ah boy) and can provide like pricelist of the things provided there. I ride a spark and am new to the riding scene. So im not sure if the prices are reasonable and thus am seeking some advice. Im not willing to compromise on quality. i know cheap = lower quality in most cases. But still, want to know what you guys have to say.

so far these r the prices quoted in spore:

RK X Ring Gold Chain + Sprockets Kit: $150

HEL brake line x 2 pieces with installation: $130

Yoshi Racing front brake disc: $95

YSS Adjustable rear shock: $460

Bridgestone Battlax BT39 80/90-17 90/80-17 $188.00

Racing Boy Sports Rims :$180

K&N Air Filter: $90

Daytona Fast Throttle Kit: $75

LED Tail Light: $80

- Racing Clutch Plates, Racing Clutch Gasket, Racing Clutch Springs together with engine oil and installation at $150

If there is any place in singapore you know where can get the items above at even a cheaper price, please do comment. =) thank you.

Hi Yojisan.I'm riding 125z.Where do you usually go?I wanted to go to Bapok Lane but my colleagues of Malaysian told me not to go coz there they choke Singaporean neck. Now i always went to Larkin Perdana.Prices there are negotiable.U got other better place in Jb?

Posted

hi guys. goin jb? what i do is, normally only go one shop where ur comfortable with, and stick to that one. cos anything u change on yur bike, only that shop/mechanic knows well. i have been servicing/repairing/modifying all my bikes in j.b for the past 10 yrs and no probs for me at all.

all the rumours abt chopping people neck is not quite true. for instance, certain parts avai in j.b not avai in spore. 2nd thing is u pay in ringgit. and lastly, thing abt this, most of the shops in spore that u go to, the mechanics that touches yur bike, most if not all are malaysians. so dont believe in rumours, go and ask and u will be satisfied if u get the right one.

anyway, if anyone needs advise on which trusted shop in j.b i go to, pls PM me and i will be glad gto share. the mechanic there not only knows small bikes, but big bikes too and he has been workin in 2-3 workshops in spore so thats y i always entrust my bikes to him.

cheers

Wah!U know jb so well.Shud haf consult u.Thru my 14 yrs of riding bikes n already reach Hatyai wif my 01 R1 in 2002 NEVER TRUST the people there.Their crime rate are very high n they see S'porean as easy meat due to our currency.Ask around 1st before u do servicing.Trust me.Different shops haf different prices. Most importantly u must watch wat the mech are doing to your bike.Basic knowledge of bike is important as to avoid being a con victim.

I always went to Larkin perdana 2.Not to promote or anytin but i find the mech are quite gd.As usual u can't trust the parts as original parts are very expensive there.Buy the parts from singapore and ask them to instal. Those mechs there are coolies so deal the price wif the boss and everything wil be settled. No way to anyhow give price. There are also lots of accessories too.Ah boy Singapore takes spare parts from there.
