Guys, I want to share one experience so that you all won't kena cheated.

I came to Malaysia AGL after reading all the comments from this forum that AGL there very cheap. Wanted to do some servicing to my bike (Spark 135).

Then I see Hou Heng the bike shop kena commended by everybody till not bad like that, wanted to try out. I using bridgestone bt39s change for only like 4 months only and im sure have plenty of life inside them however the boss of hou heng ask me to change chain, sprocket, tire, die die say install confirm bike more power when all I wanted to do was basic servicing.

I say no then I go to the mamak store eat eat, come back to my surprise they install all the "racing" parts onto my bike. Grips, sprocket, Maxxis tires and etc.

Kena charge one bill RM600++ I was like O.O... I said, boss I said I didnt want all these accessories then the boss give me lj face. Say what, singaporean at malaysia dont play play only. This my first time at AGL so I scared for my life. I bargained him down to RM300. (Note, damn con right?)

Then when I driving out, my bike suddenly like shaky only. I ignore thinking must let my bike adapt to the new spares. I turned out to the highway after travelling for like 1.5km, then MY BIKE TIRE ****ING EXPLODED. The FRONT TIRE EXPLODED. On the highway, I lost control, fly into the air and miraculously all the cars driving behind me turned to avoid me. Lucky that tim I wear my helmet got fasten (cause I normally drive without fastening the latch for short journeys). And I think I was travelling at around 50km+ maybe cause my bike shaky I dont wanna push.

I think I have to thank god I never die there. Seriously. I only suffered some scratches and spraining my thigh.

Then to cut a long story short, some lorry came to pick me up and my bike then I decided cannot go AGL cause I dont trust any of the shop there liaoz, then when turning out, decided to go to my trustworthy Motor diam, Guo Hui Motor, I told him of what happened to me.

We then checked my bike, I see the bike tire Maxxis I pissed off. Don't know what LJ brand is this. Then the boss Ah Boy tell me that Maxxis is one brand that he don't recommend that's why he never keep stock of these tires, he only go for reliable brands that have been sold. Then the mechanic take out the tire I see, shoddy tire, see Made in Vietnam.

I come back home then I do research, Maxxis is dont know what Cheng Shin company China brand, WTH, these tires can easily kill someone.

These tire companies they never QC then they sell these tires around, I scared to think how many people die because they use lousy tires like these.

Ah Boy sympathetic, then this time intro me another brand Shinko from Korea, (Cause I no $$ for Dunlops liaozz). And till now, the tires are running damn good. Thanks to Ah Boy.

I feel like making a police report against Hou Heng, but then I don't know what they would kena, anybody can give ideas?

Anyway, I would not be going to AGL ever again. Let you guys know so that you guys would be wiser to it. Best is to stick with the tried and trusted Ah Boy JB. :thumb:

back then when i rode nsr150 i always go to houheng ah di to service my bike.. overhauled my bike there b4 also.. when i riding my nsr150, i myself tell ah di tat i wanna make my bike fast.. he also did nt anyhow change my bike's parts.. maybe this is 2 yrs ago from wad i'd experienced la, he always tell me which part spoil first b4 repairing it for me.. when my cbr400 broke down in jb.. he towed it for me also.. he did the necessarily repairs and my bike still cannot start.. he took the effort to call me back in singapore to inform me that my fuel pump spoil also.. so from wad my own experience, he seems to be a nice guy leh.. not like wad u guys mentioned abt him at all..

maybe it is due to some miscommunications bah.. recently i bought my wave and went there to change my wave's racing carburator back to original carburator and was charged RM160.. so i will still frequent hou heng for my small bikes la.. if u do nt trust them, just stay wif them when they are repairing ur bike..

anyway u mentioned some lorry came to pick u and ur bike up to singapore motordiam?? frm wad i noe, u need ur bike's log card to enable it to be towed across the borders leh.. and somemore malaysia got peeps so friendly come and help u ar?? this is nt my impression of them ar.. especially late at nite..

nsr 150 sp(FT1969Y)-feb'07 to may'08, CBR 400(FQ5720L)-may'08 to july'09, TA150(FT2661I)-mar'09 to jun'09, Wave110(FT7718R)- Jun'09 - Jan'10, TA200(FX2012E)- Jan'10-May'11, VTR SP1(FS4028Z) - Sept'09 - Jan'12, ZG1400 (FBE5831K)- Jan'12 to Oct'14, Suzuki Hayabusa - Oct'14 to ???

**** i went malaysia JB AHBOY... first time i was very careful, hence didnt get chopped.. hence i went back to them again....

after trusting them, my guard was down and slowly they overcharge me. enuff of their nonsence and i'll put my $$ somewhere better. wat happened????? (eg: before doing they calculate everything for me, after job completed, suddenly got 3rd column which says labour for 35rm, changing tensioner n eo only.) btw i didnt mind they charge 65 for the bloody tensioner.... which normal shop cost 45rm...

anyway e extra amt i paid considered nth to see how honest a shop is... so therefore i would not go back to them again and i wouldnt recommanded anyone to go there....

go somehwere like hou heng, i'm sure many pple haf good experience with them... my friend recommended me there last time, but then i supported jb ah boy... wrong decision!!! i hope they greed will give them less business. btw hou heng is like 2-3 units away from jb ahboy at AGL.

unless u are extremely experience and noe all the prices of all e parts.... den maybe u can go Jb ah boy and neg... else they sure chop chop chop!!!

1) when u exit malaysia custom keep right and go the overhead bridge... u'll see shell on ur left.

2) go straight and exit on the first exit.

3) @ the exist, keep right and turn right at traffic junction.

4) go straight, keep left... its ABT 500m away...

5) in case u realised there are many bike shops on ur left... u missed the first entrace.. dont worry. got other entrace.... within the bikeshop area just anyhow go against traffic ba.. nobody care.

6) good luck.

My bike cannot take long distance. Only can hit 80 normal riding. If hit 90 for 5mins the bike will overflow n no power. Then will come out white smoke and will burn off engine oil at a very fast rate. Do u know why? N wat must be done?

if i not wrong, worn pistons rings would result in smoke from exhaust, increased fuel and oil consumption..... did ur F/C increased too???

its just my opinion and guess only... i might be totally wrong though...

i dont think it is possible.... i believe that the "power surge" is caused more of firing of the worn piston rather den a power boost...

--> why i say this, coz last time i wash my carb, den the mech in jb spoil the pin or smth... den i feel like weird weird, got sudden power surge also.... so i went to my usual mech, he told me the pin spoil and changed it.. den it became normal... so bascially it wasnt a power surge but inconsisnt fuel supply for me. yep!

anyway should let a mech check.... i'm not THAT experience and might give wrong advices.. btw good luck in advanc and i hope i'm wrong!!!

Had same prob with my 125z...its worn piston rings and its broken bits need to be cleaned up.. just did a top overhaul and the rings dun kinda move freely inbetween due to the piston might have slightly lost its circular shape. to rectify that gotta do full overhaul i think or dunno can only do the bottom part....

Full overhaul in JB roughly how much?
